Patricia Rementer who go's by Gigi started her cake career at the age of eight when she fell in love with the world of confectionary arts. Her very first cake was one who would say was not cooked all the way. She popped it out of the oven and it began to roll down the other end. At such a young age and determined to get it right she began baking all the time for family and friends. Little did she know that her career would take such a huge turn around. She went to school in Colorado to study accounting and became a CPA. After a major company bought her contract out it gave her the opportunity to stay home and raise her son. During that time she decided to attend several different culinary schools to perfect her techniques. She is now a Certified Confectionary Artist and a member of the Wilton Method Instructors for Wilton Industries. She is a member of I.C.E.S "International Cake Exploration Societe" and Cago "Confectionary Artists Guild of Orlando". She is the proud Owner and Designer of LeGigis Bakery. She also enjoy's teaching and teaches cake airbrushing, portraits, gum paste figures, flowers and more for her more advance students. Prices do vary. She mentor's young students with there senior projects and enjoys the feeling she when she makes a difference in someone's life. If there is one thing Gigi would like to know she leaves with her students: it is that there is no limit to your imagination in the world of confectionary arts. And with many of her students who have become successful, she is extremely proud and is remembered her passion leaves a legacy. Incredibly she is also a cancer survivor and every order that is placed with Legigis Bakery 10% of it gets donated to the Cancer Research Center. With every passing day she lives up to her motto that "there are no looser's in life just the ones who fall and won't get back up". A new day brings many changes and you have to "cojelo con take it easy". Her favorite saying. She feels bless to have parents who allowed her to make a mess time and time again in the kitchen and remembers there comforting words "you just keep on trying and don't give up". With many challenges in her life she stands strong today, is funny, bold, and courageous which makes her an incredible Confectionary Artist who is always on the go. |
